Alexander Paras spent his career working inside those environments.
Growing up in a family of insurance brokers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alex developed an early understanding of how risk, finance, and insurance intersect in real-world business operations. That background would eventually lead him into the broader financial markets and technology infrastructure that power modern financial institutions.
Over the course of nearly two decades, Alex has worked across global financial institutions, fintech platforms, enterprise risk management systems, and national insurance brokerages.
At Moody's Investors Service, he helped build large-scale analytical datasets used to test municipal credit rating methodologies across thousands of government issuers.
At BNY Mellon, he supported trading infrastructure for institutional portfolios exceeding $550 billion in assets, maintaining the data integrity and operational stability of complex trading and reporting systems.
Most recently, at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, Alex served as Lead Data Analyst and Chief of Staff to the IT Department, helping architect enterprise data systems used by hundreds of employees across multiple divisions.
Across each of these environments, the same pattern emerged.
